You will bring your binder, pencil and paper to class everyday.
Every student will keep (the Life Science Field Guide) in the classroom. Students may check out the Field Guide, but must have the field guide in class everyday.
If a student is assigned a book they are responsible for theassigned book. This includes checking out a book. If a book is damaged, the student will be charged to replace it ($59.00).
Before class, students will line up and wait outside the room until instructed to enter.
Class begins when you enter the room. Students will enter the room quietly. Once you come into the room, you are to stay in the room.
“Folder person” will pass out papers from section folder. You will begin copying the homework onto daily assignment sheet and copy the objectives and Daily Question (DQ) on your paper.
No talking – raise your hand if you need to ask a question. No tapping or other distracting behaviors.
When you finish the DQ put it on the corner of your desk. If papers are to be turned in, place them on the corner of the desk along with the DQ. The “Folder person” will collect the papers and place them in the folder.
You will head all of your papers with your name and section number.
If you do not have supplies, raise your hand and Mrs. Kelley will tell you what to do. DO NOT ASK YOUR NEIGHBOR.
You are to stay seated unless given permission to get up. (This includes getting up to sharpen pencils or to throw paper away).
Papers are to be written only in pencil, black or blue ink. No other color pens are allowed for regular class work.
If you finish early you are to sit quietly until Mrs. Kelley gives you further instructions.
There will be a quiz every Friday covering work from Monday through Thursday.
If you are absent, ask your “Homework buddy”, check out the website, and then come during MS101to get any make up work and schedule for tests or quizzes.
Mrs. Kelley will signal you to be quiet by raising her hand and saying: 1. Stop what you are doing, 2. Look at me, 3. Listen.
You are to go to the bathroom and water fountain between classes or you may raise your hand and get permission during the last 2 minutes of class.
You are dismissed by Mrs. Kelley, not the bell. You will not pack up your work until Mrs. Kelley gives you permission to do so.
